He calls the Party's, Socialists Party D and Socialist Party R meaning that no matter the election, the outcome will be pretty much the same. There is no such thing as a Conservative Party anymore. You are right regarding the trials we are facing as a nation. When I came back to KC after having been gone for ten years and found that there were no Sunday evening services I really realized the impact the world was having on our Churchs.
