What was the interesting thing? Oh! That. Yeah. I should have guessed. This post is good, but not good enough.

Speaking of wisdom, Sunday you mentioned about reading the Bible and not always understanding what you were reading but knowing and trusting that the Holy Spirit would work in your spirit to form understand of what you had read. I have been making it a practice to ask that God would bless my reading of his word that it might bring me knowledge, understanding and wisdom that I might walk in his will. You would be surprised the times those three words are placed together in the Bible (Prov 2:1-6; Prov 24:3 & 4; Eph 1:17 & 18; Col 1:9). But the goal is always that we might walk in wisdom; that we might wear it as a garment (Eph 6:11).

I think that what you have said in this blog regarding worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom being recognized by its fruit is insightful, but sometimes it takes Godly wisdom to see the fruit of worldly wisdom. Men walking in their own wisdom only see the rightness of it. Take today, when our presidential canidates are talking about meeting all the needs of the poor (the poor that Jesus said we would have with us always) without regard for the cost to others. All they see is that there is a need and they think in their wisdom they have the answer.

I certainly don’t have all the answers, I do good to walk in the wisdom God gives day by day. And I only get that when I am in his word daily. Would that I opened his word as often as I do the refrigerator.
